The British Invasion is an expansion from the Vinyl Group that builds on the base Vinyl game and features the Core Collections, Listening Booth and Singles (or 45s).
Historically, 45s were purchased to initially and eventually encourage buyers to acquire the associated LP album or even another band album.
In BI, players can acquire 45 seconds by matching the party icon.
Each 45 has an “A-side” with locked attributes that can be unlocked at the Listening Room. At the listening stand, players will discard a magazine card with a matching icon to flip the 45 to its "B side", giving the player more points and the ability to use the 45 to acquire LP with similar attributes in the next rounds.
For 6 of the new bands (Half & Half, Lead Balloon, Scarabs, The What, Rolling Bones, Pink Fluid), the following are included in this expansion:
