You play as Jackie Estacado, a 21-year-old mobster, who happens to be one of the hosts of the Darkness, an evil entity that gives him many powers to allow him to take revenge on his uncle who wants him dead.
Darkness feeds on shadow and you must therefore remain vigilant to destroy all forms of light, as well as to annihilate any enemy getting in your way.
