Pizza-loving crime fighters are back in KONAMI's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection.
Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo are about to emerge from the sewers in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection.
In collaboration with Nickelodeon, thirteen games from KONAMI's archive of retro 8-bit, 16-bit and arcade Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) titles and their Japanese versions will be released for PlayStation5, PlayStation4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One , and Nintendo Switch.
This incredible collection of thirteen classics gives Shredder, Foot Clan, Bebop and Rocksteady new insight into how KONAMI's adaptation of shelled heroes set the standards for beat 'em up and action games.
KONAMI has partnered with development studio Digital Eclipse to expertly adapt these classics to modern gaming systems, incorporating a host of convenience-enhancing features such as instant save, rewind and control tweaking.
Online play is also added for some titles, in addition to local multiplayer for games intended for this purpose.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection will also include a digital guide for each title to help players battle and navigate through some challenging levels.
The games in the collection are based on characters and themes from the 80s cartoon and comic series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, which is usually set in a fictionalized version of New York City, around sewers, within bases futuristic enemies and even across time.
In collaboration with Nickelodeon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection will also bring together visuals from the cartoon, original comics and other TMNT content within a Museum connecting the various mediums of the franchise.
Unpublished artwork, sketches and game design documents will also be included.
