Brave and brave, Fright Rider is always ready to charge headlong into action. Together with Ozzy, they are a brave couple, bound by honor to right wrongs wherever they roam.
Before becoming one of the undead, Ozzy was terrified of just about everything. His list of fears included shadows, curtains, certain types of sandwiches, and accidentally plunging a jousting spear into his head.
That all changed when he munched on a bag of Skeleton Oats so he could be turned into a Skeleton and save Fright Rider. Now he's not afraid of much, except getting his head stabbed with a spear. And some types of sandwiches.
Biography

Rider and his beautiful ostrich, Fright, were the best jousting team in all of Skylands. But after winning the championship for the third year in a row, a jealous contestant cast a curse on the elf that sent him to the land of the living dead.
Not wanting to be without his partner, Fright, who until now had been afraid of almost everything, ate a bag of skeleton oats which turned him into a skeleton so he could prepare for the trip to the underworld to save his friend.
Grateful to have been rescued, Fright Rider has returned to the surface to help others - while occasionally dominating a jousting tournament.
Story
Before being an undead skeletal ostrich, Fright was just a regular old ostrich. With Rider on his back, they formed the most successful and weirdest jousting team in all of Skylands, winning the championships three years in a row.
Tired of being second, a jealous competitor cast a spell on Rider, banishing him to the realm of the undead. Although terrified of just about anything, Fright was determined not to give up on his friend. Taunting a skeleton bag of oats, he was transformed into a living skeleton, allowing him to travel to the land of the undead on a rescue mission.
Once free, the pair decided to use their combined skills to protect others, and Master Eon was quick to enroll them as Skylanders.
