Despite this arrogant image, he possesses a brave heart, having rescued a fire spirit from an aquatic fate when he was young.
Biography
Flameslinger is an elven archer with incredible aim. In fact, he's so good he wears a blindfold just to prove it. When he was young, he rescued a fire spirit from a watery fate and received an enchanted bow and magical fire boots which he now uses masterfully to defeat evil in Skylands. With the scorched earth he leaves behind, you can always tell where he's been.
Story
It's often said that elves have a sparkle in their eyes, but Flameslinger was born with a whole bonfire. And the fire in Flameslinger's eyes was more than just a convenient way to warm the house.
This gave the young elf the mystical ability to see incredible distant places. Wherever fiery flames exist, this remarkable elf can use them as an extension of his own eyes. Flameslinger quickly became the talk of the town, and the town next door, and the town three towns away.
But he quickly got tired of visiting onlookers. He rolled up his eyes in a blindfold and sneaked off into the forest. Here, he practiced archery blindfolded while aiming at the Bomb Fiends with his bow.
Then one day, in his mind, he saw a fire spirit drowning in a nearby pond. Faster than a wildfire, Flameslinger sprinted to the struggling spirit and rescued it from a watery grave.
A fiery friendship immediately formed, and the spirit presented Flameslinger with two gifts: magical fire boots for lightning speed and an enchanted bow that shoots flaming arrows. Soon Flameslinger was back in the public eye, holding blindfolded archery tournaments and winning every time.
His performance caught the eye of a certain special viewer, Master Eon, and the rest... well, the rest was Skylands history!
