Ninja All Stars allows 2-4 players to take control of a ninja team (it can be a pre-rolled team or a team purchased with points) and fight for objectives.
Each Ninja Clan is drawn from a different element (6 in total), with each element providing different in-game bonuses. Additionally, the game's dice mechanic is based on the element system, using a type of elimination of rock-paper-scissors type dice to determine the outcome of various aspects such as combat, research and special abilities.
It's important to note that the fight isn't a simple "I've rolled more swords than your shields"; eliminating the dice will give the winner a choice of different combat results depending on the remaining dice.
The interesting point here is that the ninjas don't die in this game, rather they are knocked out and placed in their team's dojo, where they rest and recuperate and can eventually be brought back to the board.
The rules allow for single scenario games as well as league games with ninja advancement guidelines, meaning players can develop their ninja across many games.
The game comes with enough figures to allow for 4 teams, each of a different element, the game board and plenty of tokens for game effects.
