A role-playing game that fits into the Fabula Nova Crystallis project, Final Fantasy XIII is set in a universe that is both futuristic and fantasy.
The story brings out the contrasts between the primitive Underworld of Pulse and the man-made orb of Cocoon, constructed in space by higher entities called fal'Cie.
Six characters will see their destiny turned upside down by the appearance of a fal'Cie from Pulse, mysteriously stranded on Cocoon.
