Designed for co-op and replayability, players will find the epic cinematic sequences that Call of Duty is famous for, as well as new open area 'arena' type gameplay phases, designed to allow players to experience the game with a different strategy each time they play.

With Black Ops III, Treyarch ushers in a momentum-based chain movement system. Players will be able to move fluidly through the various environments, using impulse jumps, slides, and cloaking abilities, with a multitude of combinations, while maintaining complete control over your weapons at all times.
The cards were designed from the start for this new movement system, allowing players to be effective with both traditional movements and advanced tactics and maneuvers.
Black Ops III Multiplayer also introduces the new Specialist character system. The latter allows players to progress and master the seasoned weapons and skills specific to each character.
With this addition to the weapon progression and traditional XP systems, Black Ops III Multiplayer offers players three different ways to progress.
