Built in the near future as part of a contemporary ecological project, the Ark is built on a sustainable development model. The enormous floating city quickly welcomes a community of scientists and intellectuals determined to make this vision a reality, while its wealthy benefactors seek to develop a true paradise on earth.
But soon, the global environmental threat materializes: glaciers melt, ocean levels rise, and the very survival of humanity is called into question. Thousands of refugees from all over the world seek to join the Ark. They organize themselves as best they can, while the founders and their descendants try to maintain the balance of the floating city.
Today, the Ark has lost all contact with what remains of the continent and lives in total self-sufficiency. As its supposedly sustainable resources dwindle, the balance of power threatens to tip the population toward civil war.
In a context that becomes more tense every day, the forces of the Resistance and Security are bogged down in a bitter conflict for control of the Ark. Which side will you choose?

- A hero of a new kind. The customization system offered by Brink offers almost endless combinations to your character - your hero will be unlike any other. As you progress through the game and gain experience, new customization possibilities will become available to you.
- Be master of your adventure. Choose to fight in two full campaigns as a member of the Resistance or the Security. Experience these campaigns solo, in co-op, or against other players - it's up to you.
- Cover your tracks! Take your character online whenever you want. Brink allows you to switch from single-player mode to co-op mode or even multi-player mode, which will give you the possibility of playing with seven other players (or AI) in cooperation, in your fight against the opposing faction, or to face 16 players.
- Play SMART: Brink uses all the shooting controls you know and adds a new feature: the SMART button. When you hold it, the game dynamically evaluates the location you're trying to reach and sends you there. Whether you're a seasoned FPS veteran or a newbie, you'll be empowered to make smarter decisions in the heat of the action.
- Pursue your goals, earn your rewards. Objectives, communications, missions, and inventory are all generated based on your role, state, location, teammates, and overall status in the battle, in all modes. You will always know exactly where to go, what you need to do there and what reward you can expect to get.
