Today, L'Arche has lost all contact with what remains of the continent and lives in total autarky. As its supposedly sustainable resources dwindle, the balance of power threatens to tip the population into civil war.

- Be in control of your adventure. Choose to fight in two full campaigns as a member of the Resistance or the Security. Experience these campaigns solo, in co-op or against other players - the choice is yours.
- Cover your tracks! Bring your character online whenever you want. Brink allows you to switch from single player mode to co-op mode or even multi-player mode, which will give you the possibility of playing with seven other players (or AI) in cooperation, in your fight against the opposing faction, or face 16 players.
- Play SMART: Brink uses all the shooting controls you know and adds a new feature: the SMART button. When you hold it, the game dynamically assesses the location you're trying to reach and sends you there.
Whether you're a seasoned FPS veteran or a newbie, this gives you the freedom to make smarter decisions in the thick of the action.
- Pursue your goals, get your rewards. Objectives, comms, missions, and inventory are all generated based on your role, state, situation, teammates, and general status in battle across all modes.
