A sheriff, outlaws and a renegade face off in the unforgiving Wild West.
While the outlaws want to eliminate the sheriff, the renegade aims to kill the outlaws and take the place of the sheriff.
The roles of the players are secret except for that of the sheriff, which is revealed at the start of the game after the random distribution of the role cards.
Before confronting each other in implacable duels, the players receive a character card including the characteristics and the life points of their character.
Each turn, players draw two cards and then play as many cards as they wish. However, you can only play one Bang card per turn and activate one weapon at a time.
The number of cards a player can keep in hand at the end of his turn also depends on his life points (a player with 2 life points can only keep 2 cards).
Action cards with brown edges allow you to draw additional cards (Convoys, Stagecoaches), to shoot your opponents (Bang, Duel), etc. These cards are discarded after use.
Cards with a blue edge represent offensive or defensive accessories (Remington, Hideout) that you activate by placing them in front of you.
At the start of the game, players can only attack their immediate neighbors. Acquiring a weapon will allow them to be able to shoot more players by increasing the range of their shots.
The game ends when the sheriff dies. If the renegade is alone in play, he wins. Otherwise, the outlaws win. Conversely, if the sheriff is the last survivor, he wins the game.
