The Da Vinci Code game is based on the film "Da Vinci Code" directed by Ron Howard, which is itself adapted from the novel by Dan Brown, a best-seller of all time that remained on the New York Times best-seller list for over two years. It has also been translated into 42 languages.

To date, more than 38.6 million copies of the novel have been printed, averaging over two million copies sold each month.
